Accessibility Statement

CYFM (Christian Youth & Family Ministry) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. We want our guides and templates to be usable, readable, and practical for real ministry contexts. Accessibility is a form of care.

Effective date: February 23, 2026

Our accessibility goal

We aim to make CYFM content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust—so it works well with assistive technologies and across common devices. Clear structure and readable language are priorities.

  • Readable layouts: consistent headings, short sections, and scannable blocks
  • Accessible media: meaningful alt text when images are used (site-wide images are limited)
  • Keyboard support: pages should be navigable without a mouse where possible
  • Contrast awareness: bright-theme-safe colors and clear focus states

Standards and conformance

We aim to align with the WCAG 2.2 standard as a practical guide for accessibility decisions. “Conformance” is a direction we pursue through ongoing improvement.

Because website content and tools can change over time, some pages or components may not fully meet every guideline in every context. If you encounter an issue, please let us know so we can address it.

Feedback and how to request help

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of CYFM, we welcome your feedback. The fastest route is the Contact page. If you tell us what you were trying to do, we can help faster.

What to include in your message

  • Page URL: the link where the issue happened
  • What you tried: the action you were taking (reading, printing, copying a template, submitting a form)
  • What went wrong: what you expected versus what occurred
  • Your setup: device + browser (and assistive tech, if applicable)

Alternate format requests: if you need a template in a different format (plain text, large text, or a simplified printable version), mention that in your message and we’ll do our best to help.

Compatibility

CYFM is designed to work on modern browsers and mobile devices. Accessibility can vary by browser, operating system, and assistive technology. Keeping your browser updated often improves accessibility.

  • Browsers: current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge
  • Mobile: iOS and Android with standard accessibility settings enabled
  • Assistive tech: common screen readers and built-in OS tools (varies by platform)

Known limitations

We aim for a simple, text-forward site. Still, accessibility issues can happen—especially with third-party tools, embedded content, or user-generated device settings. When we find problems, we prioritize fixes that unblock reading and use.

  • Third-party content: external sites linked from CYFM may not be accessible (their standards apply).
  • PDF printing: browser print-to-PDF results can vary by device and settings.
  • Complex tables: some template tables may be easier to read in plain text; request an alternate format if needed.

Updates to this statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement as the site changes or as we improve accessibility practices. We’ll update the effective date at the top when changes are made. If you notice something we can improve, please tell us.
